Mummy Dearest: How to write the perfect card sentiment this Mother’s Day

What do you say on Mother’s Day?

So when is Mother’s Day, exactly? In the United Kingdom and Ireland “Mothering Sunday” is celebrated on the fourth Sunday during Lent. This year UK Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, the 19th March, 2023. In the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries, International Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May, which this year falls on Sunday, the 14th May, 2023.

Let’s celebrate all the Mums in our lives with the perfectly tailored card: Three cheers for all the mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, adopted mothers, stepmothers, pet-mothers, mothers-to-be, new mothers, mothers-in-law, aunts and sisters out there!

Sometimes the best way to express your feelings is to keep it simple, and it often helps if someone has come up with some ideas to get you started! So, to get you going, we came up with some creative copy ideas for what to write in your ideal Mother’s Day card, as well as suggestions for the top selling Mother’s Day card designs and our ideas for personalised Mothering Sunday gifts to make Mum crack the biggest smile.
